At the various tailor markets in Shanghai, you will find an incredible selection of auxiliary materials, feathers, buttons, sewing accessories and always something completely unusual. The range is wide, and it is super exciting to exchange ideas about high-quality fashion with the local sellers – usually being the shop-owners. Often a hidden box or drawer opens-up, containing very rare pieces that are kept aside for special customers only. On the return flight, I had a short visit to the pearl fair in Beijing, unfortunately only for a short time - but pearls as jewelry complement the look of some of my creations just perfectly.
